This year I was not able to visit China as I have done every year since 1997. The positive consequence is that I have been able to finish my book on China’s strategy for reclaiming world power status. I sent the manuscript to Routledge 31 August 2017, and the book should be published early 2018.

In December I signed a contract with Springer for a new book. Having covered several important aspects of the Chinese strategic public management in my previous books, I felt the need to put some order in my “Chinese construction site”, to give some rational and documented meaning and coherence to the “material” collected on various aspects of Chinese modernization process. Hopefully the manuscript should be ready by the end October 2018.
